Priority Registration

Our Way to Give Thanks

We are immensely grateful to our supporters! Almost 25% of our annual budget comes from donations. As a token of appreciation, we offer donors of $150 or more priority registration, which guarantees them a spot in a GLN class of their choice.

Due to overwhelming demand – over 200 requests per semester for our most popular languages such as Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Italian, Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and others – we are not able to accommodate every student who wishes to take a GLN class. Priority registration helps us say ‘thank you’ to our loyal supporters for their commitment and dedication to GLN!

Priority registration means select individuals will have a guaranteed spot in one class of their choice in a given GLN semester.

Who qualifies for priority registration?

Donors

We appreciate our donors’ support! As a ‘thank you’, anyone who has given $150 or more receives priority registration for one class during one semester of their choice within one calendar year from the time of the donation. Give $150 or more by May 4th and you will be eligible for Priority Registration for a Summer 2012 class! (Note: the donation is non-refundable and does not replace the class deposit. Donors still have to place a class deposit in order to secure a spot in a class.)

Students

  • Students who have taken three or more GLN classes with good attendance (ie, attended at least 75% of the classes) receive priority registration for one class each semester.
  • Students with good attendance in a given GLN class are eligible for priority registration to continue to the next level of that specific language. For example, if you take a Spanish Foreigner (Beg. I) class with good attendance, you will be invited to take the Spanish Tourist (Beg. II) continuation class offered the following semester.
