Karina Rodriguez Topete – Leading Volunteer

Karina is from Veracruz, Mexico. After doing a semester interning for Congressman Raul Grijalva in DC, Karina decided to apply for a Masters in Security Policy Studies at George Washington University. She has interned at different organizations in DC like the Embassy of Mexico, CSIS, CHCI, and USCRI. After graduation, she went back to her hometown to work at the Veracruz Judiciary Council as an administrative officer.

Karina started learning English at the age of 4 years old and discovered her love for learning languages. She can speak French, Italian, Portuguese and German. She wishes to learn Chinese and Arabic.

She recently moved back to the DC area where she has started volunteering at The GLN.
