Vanessa grew up in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science. She recently obtained a Masters of Public Health from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Santé Publique in Paris, France. Vanessa is a consultant at the Pan American Health Organization where she specializes in various areas of public health, including research implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Vanessa is thrilled to be selected as a Global Giver Fellow and is learning Portuguese with GLN to expand the care of people living with TB/HIV co-infection in the setting of Specialized Care Facilities in Brazil.
