Hannah Dannenfeldt

Years after completing a GLN Swahili course, I received a Boren Fellowship to study Swahili in Tanzania for the 2016 – 2017 academic year. Through intensive language study in Tanzania, I developed an appreciation for language, and the way that language enables deeper connection and more quickly fosters trust across various communities. Upon returning from Tanzania, I am eager to share my love for Swahili with others interested in learning the language. I am excited to build the confidence of my students in the language and watch them develop a love for Swahili as well.
