I grew up speaking Spanish and English, so I see them both as part of my identity. I am glad that GLN allows volunteer teachers the opportunity to share a part of ourselves with students that are eager to learn. In my class, students will be exposed to my particular dialect of Spanish; Colombian-Bogotano Spanish. I also like to share my other interests with the class, which includes advanced topics in grammar, vocabulary, music, and articles on current events. Students will have the opportunity to actively speak with each other through role play activities, discussions of assigned readings, and presentations.
