Maia Salholz-Hillel

Maia Salholz-Hillel is a French Teaching Associate, Spanish Teaching Assistant and student of Polish with GLN. She is inspired by how GLN students are dedicated to learning and supporting one another. She has several years of experience as a French and Spanish TA using the Rassias Method, which shares the GLN Communicative Approach’s emphasis on developing confidence in the target language. Originally from Paris and currently in D.C., she has also lived in New York, New Hampshire, and, most recently, Berlin. Outside of languages, she loves neuroscience, and science policy and diplomacy, which, like languages, are “tools to fix our world.” She looks forward to meeting and supporting diverse GLNers, and playing a role in GLN’s mission to “connect and empower people through language and culture.”
