Maria Bakatkina

Maria was born and raised in Kaluga, Russia, where she graduated from the Russian Law Academy of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. She practiced civil law for three years and worked for Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Centre of Real Estate.” In 2017 she completed her M.A. in Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Virginia. Maria loves visiting new countries and for her trying out new foods is one of the best parts of traveling. She is very excited about meeting new people and teaching her favorite subject, Russian, at GLN.
