As a native New Orleanian now residing in Washington, D.C., Ashley has developed an appreciation for the manner in which language sits at an intersection between ethnic diversity and cultural understanding. In New Orleans, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Loyola University and had the opportunity to attend Universidad Iberoamericana in Puebla, Mexico. She holds a J.D. in civil law and a certificate in international trade law. Ashley spent time studying in Costa Rica and Brazil through programs in collaboration with the University of Costa Rica Law School and Rio de Janeiro State University.
She worked as a business development intern at the World Trade Center during the revitalization of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Her interests primarily focus on areas related to international trade, marketing, and business development. She looks forward to creating opportunities for small business owners to build meaningful relationships with partners internationally through cultural and linguistic understanding.
