Jiayu grew up in Tangshan, China and is a Mandarin Chinese native speaker. Her hometown, Tangshan, is a small town in the northern part of China. Traveling across China inspired Jiayu to discover cultural differences. She recently graduated from Georgetown University with an MSC in Economics with a concentration in quantitative analysis. After graduation, she wants to experience something that builds upon her experience in the field of economics and to gain practical experience in a new way. As an international student, the cultural gap between Asia and America always reminds her of the importance of learning different languages. GLN is indeed a good place providing affordable language classes and a cultural bridge between a variety of countries. She is happy to join The Global Language Network and to do her part to help build a better intercultural community!
