Karen Griffith is a native of Naha, Okinawa, Japan. After moving back to the US, she spent time traveling around Asia, Europe, and Africa. Karen graduated from Roanoke College with her Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations with and her Minor in Communications. Her concentration was in Africana studies.
She has been interning in the non-profit sector since 2015 both in the US and aboard. She is attending the Academy for Nonprofit Excellence at Tidewater Community College in Suffolk, Virginia. She is excited to contribute to GLN’s mission of spreading awareness and understanding through language. Karen contributes to GLN from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
