It’s Wednesday, my friends, and I think you know what that means! Not only are you almost halfway to the weekend, but we get to introduce a word (or phrase) to you!
This week’s word is güle güle, which is Turkish for “goodbye.” But it’s not as simple as an English goodbye! This is what you say to someone if they are leaving the room but you are staying in it. Not only that, but it literally translates as “smile smile.” What a great way to end an interaction with someone!
So, until tomorrow, güle güle! 🙂
(Is there a word in a foreign language that you just love? That you can’t get enough of, could say over and over, or you just like its meaning? Share it with us in a comment or email!)
