"It enabled me to develop a broad range of management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills that I will utilize and build upon throughout a career in the nonprofit sector to which I have long aspired. And with the help of such a wonderful community of passionate and enthusiastic volunteers, I had the most incredible professional experience working on a cause that I’m so passionate about: helping make our world better for everyone."
- Katherine Hughes, GLN Leadership Fellow and Program Coordinator
"The mission to emphasize the importance of communication between peoples is one that I am proud to have worked toward since beginning my GLN journey. I have learned much from my time working with this organization, as well as the people I’ve met during this time. Working with the GLN, as a leadership fellow, has been a wonderful and unique experience. I am grateful for all that I have learned here and the people that I’ve met along the way."
- Hailey Aardema, GLN Leadership Fellow and Program Coordinator
"The flexible nature of GLN allows me to routinely challenge myself by working across teams to complete various tasks. As a fellow on the outreach team, I partner with students, teachers, and other organizations to spread the news about the GLN worldwide. I have gained skills in project management, communications, empathy, problem-solving, self-motivation, and flexibility. I have grown immensely personally and professionally."
- Kaylah Jetton, GLN Leadership Fellow and Staff Trainer
"At GLN, I have gained leadership skills, learned empathic decision-making, developed initiative, critical thinking & problem-solving skills, and I have learned to combine flexibility, strategic thinking, hard work and embracing new challenges for shared goals. Likewise, I gained experience in a range of functions across many different areas and developed many skills both independently and through teamwork."
- Krista Westerlun, GLN Leadership Fellow and Program Coordinator
