Alejandro Gonzalez Ruiz

From: Mexico

Language: Spanish

Class:2019 / Fellow

He was born and raised in Puebla City, Mexico. He holds a Master’s Degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Alejandro is focused on governance, elections, and communication policies. From his perspective, Alejandro believes that the biggest challenge of any government in Latin America is to reduce corruption, which is not a cultural issue, but a problem related to incentives, lack of legislation, and institutional design. As a foreigner, he wants to share his experience in learning a second language, but also wants to bring more innovative ideas to the classroom. He is convinced that the best way to learn any language is talking, so his students can expect several discussions, debates, and presentations.
