My experiences have thought me that one of the best ways to learn is interacting with others and learn from and with them. This is one of the main reasons I enjoyed teaching with GLN. I love been a mediator between my culture & language and my students. Facilitating their learning process has helped me better understand Latin America and multi-cultural interactions, complementing my work in international development. I also know first-hand that learning a new l can be tricky. I migrated to the U.S. after finishing high school, and I learned English at an adult school in order to go to Community College to later transfer to a four-year University. I learned Portuguese in grad school.
