Julia Monroe

Julia is very passionate about GLN’s mission of language as a tool to help fix our world. Julia graduated in 2019 from Virginia Tech with degrees in International Public Policy, Spanish, and a minor in Arabic. She works at a nonprofit in Washington D.C. to empower those directly impacted by the United States’ broken immigration system through storytelling as a means of driving policy change. She has experience teaching English and Spanish to students of many different ages from all over the world. Her favorite part of teaching English is cultural exchange in the classroom.
