Hello, my name is Keeyun Chung. You can also call me Kay. I am from Seoul, South Korea and currently live in Georgetown, DC. I traveled back and forth to different countries (Ethiopia, Taiwan, Nigeria, and Chicago, US) every three years from when I was 1 to 17. I somewhat consider all those countries I’ve lived in as my hometowns in “pieces”. After my college years, I also went abroad to live in India and France for a few months. I think I’ve been migrating most of my life.

I’m excited to teach with GLN because I’d love to meet people who are eager to learn Korean language and culture. I hope it will be a fun interaction for the students and me! My favorite word in Korean is “Yunseul.” It means “ripples reflecting moonlight or sunlight.”
