I enjoy teaching in general and I also do it for a living. However, my students at work aren’t nearly as motivated and appreciative as my GLN students were. It was really great to teach people who very genuinely interested in Russian language and culture and came to classes even if they were tired or swamped at work. I think the best thing is that I’m still friends with some of my students. We get together occasionally and I can still follow their progress with the language. It’s nice to know that for most of them learning Russian is a true passion and I was able to contribute to their learning process.
