Hannah Gerdes is a senior at Georgetown University. She anticipates graduating in May 2016 with a Bachelors of Science of Foreign Service with a major in Science, Technology, and International Affairs, with concentrations in pre-medicine and global health. In the summer of 2015, Hannah conducted original qualitative research in England and South Africa about maternal mental health, and interned at a mental health research consortium in India. In her daily life, she works as a Resident Assistant, leads Bible studies, coaches high school cross country & track, and runs with the homeless through a program called Back on My Feet. Her favorite run ever was a two-day trail race in the Drakensberg Mountains.
Hannah is studying Hindi with the GLN to further her research with farmers in Vidarbha, India, in effort to reduce suicide risk among agricultural workers in the region.
