Yewoinhareg Kebede – Leadership Fellow

Yewoinhareg (Yoyo) Kebede is a trilingual Ethiopian immigrant. She is an open-minded and goal-oriented Ohio Wesleyan Economics and French Major who possesses exceptional leadership and organizational skills. Passionate about advocating for socio-political issues in order to implement change. During the first semester of her freshman year she had the opportunity to get a glimpse of what it’s like to run a political campaign as an intern for a state senate candidate. On campus, she is part of the selective Palmer Global Scholars Program, secretary of the Black Student Union, a member of the French club and Rafiki (the Afro-Caribbean Student Association), and works as a barista on campus.
