Getting Creative with Crepes and GLN!

Things were heating up in the kitchen on a recent Monday as the French Frequent Flyer students from Moussa’s class met up for an impromptu crepe-making session. Special thanks go out to the TA, Keely Sullivan, who had the sweet idea and brought the batter. Interested students contributed items to the mix and Moussa brought in homemade African food to share. A fun and dynamic time was had by all as we celebrated the end of the semester together.

The Global Language Network offers flexibility to our students in terms of offering fun activities and dynamic approaches to language-learning. We consult our students during the semester to gather feedback and to come up with creative and enjoyable ideas. GLN’s teachers have the ability to experiment with creative teaching methods with their classes and to share in-depth knowledge about their cultures with the students.

GLN is a small organization that relies heavily on volunteer work, so as a volunteer you have an opportunity to collaborate with the classes in order to help to generate ideas for language-learning and adult continuing education. We offer flexible schedules for volunteering with dedicated teachers from around the world and for working with motivated students from a broad demographic range.

Please join us for the fall semester which will be starting in September. There are multiple ways to do so. You can teach with us by attending one of our teacher training sessions in early August. Please fill out this form in order to RSVP. To join us as a volunteer, intern or leadership fellow, please apply with our volunteer application. Keep an eye out on social media or check our website around the end of August to register for the fall semester. We look forward to bringing you more creative intercultural experiences with languages.
