Foodie Friday–A Little Mystery!

If you had to guess, what would you say is going on in the following picture?

These pictures were taken in Guangxi province in China, although I’m sure you could find rice cooked in bamboo in many other locations and countries! And if you know of a place in DC that serves it, please let us know!
